1. The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Roman Zubenco, a private individual resident in the Republic of Moldova, who makes and operates Aurora (“we”, “us”). By creating an Aurora Account, or by using any Aurora service, you accept them. If you use Aurora for a business, you accept them for that business as well, and confirm that you may.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data, and is part of these terms.

2. The services

Some features are for particular people only, for example the people a shop has invited.

3. Who may use them

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. You may not use Aurora if the law forbids you to, or if we have closed an account of yours for breaking these terms.

4. Your account

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. Your data

What you put into Aurora stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to store it, process it and show it to the people you choose, in order to run the services for you. We do not use your content for any other purpose. You can download your Aurora Account data and delete the account at any time, as the Privacy Policy describes.

7. Shops in Aurora Automotive

A repair shop that uses Aurora Automotive, through the people it invites, decides what it records and who may see it. The shop:

We process the shop’s records on its behalf. The Data Processing Agreement sets out how, and forms part of these terms for every shop that keeps records in Aurora Automotive.

8. Aurora Vision

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Aurora Vision on computers you control, for as long as you follow these terms. You run it on your own hardware and network, and you are responsible for:

9. Price

Aurora is free of charge today. If we ever introduce paid plans or paid features, we will publish their terms and price before they apply, tell existing users in advance, and charge nobody without their explicit agreement. Free features you already use will not silently become paid.

10. Our software and brand

The Aurora software, its design, the name “Aurora” and its logo belong to us. These terms give you the right to use the services, not to own them, copy them, or use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you. Feedback you send us may be used to improve Aurora without any obligation to you.

11. Other companies’ services

Aurora works with services from other companies, such as Sign in with Google, the passkey managers of Apple, Google and Microsoft, and the network services of Cloudflare. Their own terms apply to them, and we are not responsible for them.

12. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Aurora available and safe, but we do not promise that it will run without interruption or errors. We may change, add or remove features, and pause a service for maintenance or security. If we plan to remove a feature or a service you rely on, we will tell you reasonably in advance where we can, and give you a way to take your data with you.

13. Ending

You may stop using Aurora at any time, and delete your Aurora Account from its settings.

We may suspend or close an account, or a shop’s access, if it breaks these terms or the law, if it puts other people or the services at risk, or if the law requires us to. Where it is safe and lawful to, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond or to take your data with you. If we stop providing a service altogether, we will give at least 30 days’ notice.

Sections 6, 10, 14, 15 and 16 continue after the agreement ends.

14. No warranty

Aurora is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the services will meet your needs, be fit for a particular purpose, or be free of errors, and that data will never be lost. Keep your own copies of what matters to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.

15. Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows:

These limits do not apply to death or personal injury caused by negligence, to fraud, to deliberate or grossly negligent harm, or to any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

If you use Aurora for a business, the business agrees to cover our reasonable losses arising from its breach of these terms or of the law, including claims by its clients about records the business keeps.

16. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Moldova. Before going to court, please write to us: most problems can be solved by a conversation. Disputes that cannot be resolved this way will be decided by the competent courts of the Republic of Moldova. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of that country and the right to bring proceedings there.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Aurora grows. The new version will be published here with its date. If a change matters, we will tell account holders by email at least 30 days before it takes effect, unless the change is required by law or fixes a security problem sooner. If you do not agree, you may stop using Aurora and delete your account before the change takes effect; continuing afterwards means you accept it.

These terms are written in English. Any translation is for convenience, and the English version governs. If any part of them cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. Not insisting on a right at one moment does not mean giving it up.
